SHINee sells 90,000 albums in Japan, surpassing Super Junior


SHINee released its Japanese debut single “Replay – you are my everything” on 22 June. The debut single, a Japanese version of their Korean debut song “Noona Is So Pretty,” sold a total of 91,000 copies in its first week and was placed 2nd on the Oricon weekly singles chart for July 4th. It is remarkable because they broke a record in the category of Korean group’s debut single in Japan.

SHINee, TVXQ, and f(x) will participate in charity concert for Japan in May


In total, sixteen kpop stars will perform in a charity concert this May 14th, at the Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo–“Tokyo Legend 2011- Korean Music Wave Live in Tokyo.” The event will be hosted by MBC’s Music Core, Fuji TV, and Avex Entertainment.

Korean idol girl group SNSD are not only performing in the Taipei Arena for the first time, but even Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Donghae have decided to come along to the concert in Taipei on October 16; no matter if it is interacting or performing, it will definitely become a hot topic. Popular sensation girl group SNSD, who has dominated this year’s music industry, with hit songs ‘Gee’ and ‘Tell me Your Wish,’ had their first solo concert on the 20th, in Seoul BangYi-dong Olympic Park Fencing Stadium, which demonstrated their talents and skills as well as their incredible popularity.

In two years and 5 months after their debut with the song ‘Into the New World’ on August 2007, SNSD, in their first solo concert, performed their songs, ‘Gee,’ ‘Kissing You,’ and ‘Girls’ Generation’ as well as each member’s solo performance, captivating their fans with the variety of repertoire.
