With only having debuted by a little over a week, EXO-K and EXO-M have found themselves a place in a large Japanese record sales chart without even promoting in Japan.
On April 15th, according to a large Japanese chain music store; tower records. EXO-K and EXO-M had taken 1st and 2nd places respectively in the daily charts, clearly showing the power and presence of EXO.
What’s even more amazing is the fact that EXO’s album has not even been officially released in Japan yet. The fact that they will approach to thetop offline album selling charts is drastically coming. In the offline sales they took 1st place which was also seen as extraordinary. Since K-POP in general is already rampant in japan, EXO being the next star doesn’t seem that far away.
EXO was made a boy group with a total of 12 members, with EXO-K promoting in Korea and EXO-M promoting in China. All 6 members in EXO-K are Korean whereas in EXO-M two are Korean and the other four are Chinese.
The 2 groups debuted on the same day with the song ‘MAMA’ where the only difference was the language that it was sung in. Through the broadcasts of Inkigayo for EXO-K and Mengniu Music Chart Awards for EXO-M they both debuted successfully. They have only debuted since a little over a week ago but with their wonderful blend of live, performance skills as well as their visually pleasing looks they are being picked as rookie of the year.
