SM Entertainment addresses photoshopped image of Tiffany’s ID

SNSD’s Tiffany was recently the target of some suspicious anti-fan behavior.

A netizen had posted a photoshopped picture of Tiffany’s student ID card on an online community board, and claimed that she was really born in 1986. Other netizens immediately caught the lie and criticized the netizen for attempting to fabricate fake information.

The issue eventually escalated enough for SM Entertainment to take notice, as representatives stated, “Tiffany was indeed born in 1989, and we are investigating the photo. There have been similar instances before, so we are considering taking action against netizens who photoshop pictures for the purpose of distorting information.”

  1. Well a lot of malicious people feel comfortable that they won’t get caught so they do as they please fearlessly and with impunity.

The big question: is there really a way to track them down?
