Was SHINee’s Lucifer plagiarized?

In the later half of 2010, SHINee came back with their 2nd full album with the title song Lucifer. Lucifer was well loved and won many awards, and fans were delighted to have the boys’ second official album.

However, fans found out that a Serbian singer Jelena Karleusa has just released a song called “Muskarac koji mrzi zene”, which sounds exactly like SHINee’s Lucifer. Many are enraged and are accusing her of plagiarism. But as SM Entertainment has not made any comments about it, many fans are still unsure if this is actual plagiarism or if she has permission to use the melody.

  1. It’s like a remix of Lucifer -_-‘ If they have the autorisation I don’t see anything wrong but if that’s not the case…

  2. she may have potentially bought the rights for it…she has before bought the rights to another famous I think Indian song that ppl thought she had plagarized..so maybe Shinee or her both bought the rights to the same song? I dno….

  3. I’m sure SM bought the song from a writer/producer who sold the rights to more than one artists, which is not an uncommon practice in the music industry.
