TVXQ’s popularity was proved in Japan a few days ago.
On the 9th, according to a record homepage, TVXQ’s album, “Tone”, which was released on the 28th of September, has sold over 250,000 copies already, reaching Platinum status.
One can reach Platinum status by selling over 250,000 copies of their album, while for Gold you need 100,000 sold. According to the same homepage, TVXQ sold over 250,000 of their Japanese album “Tone” in only two days.
“Tone” has reached this amazing status in a few days by staying on the Oricon charts for a fair amount of time, capturing people’s attention and gaining their Platinum status.
TVXQ is currently holding a fan meeting world tour, and are planning on doing the same for the whole of Japan next year.
